About Us

Bud’s Built Cabinetry is a cabinet shop run by Bud’s Warehouse, a faith-based non-profit social

enterprise that has been rebuilding lives through second chance employment and job training since

1994. We’re part of Belay Enterprises, a faith-based nonprofit incubator.

Our team builds RTA Shaker cabinets in-house using furniture-grade birch plywood, dovetail

drawers, soft-close hardware, and a six-coat catalyzed finish. We price 20–30% below big-box

stores and deliver in 3–4 weeks.

But what truly sets us apart is who builds them.

Our shop is powered by apprentices—men and women rebuilding their lives after incarceration,

homelessness, or addiction. Through hands-on training, they gain real trade skills, work experience,

and a path forward. Every cabinet we sell directly supports that mission.

The Role

This is not just a sales job. It’s a consultative role at the intersection of craftsmanship,

construction, and mission.

You’ll be the primary point of contact for homeowners and contractors purchasing kitchen and/or

bathroom cabinetry. Your work spans four areas:

Design Consultation

  • Review customers’ construction plans, floor plans, or kitchen/bath layouts to understand their space: wall dimensions, ceiling heights, windows, doors, plumbing, and appliance locations

  • Help them select the right combination of base, wall, tall, vanity, and specialty cabinets, plus moldings, fillers, and accessories to complete their project

  • Provide accurate quotes, manage orders from consultation through delivery, and coordinate with our production shop on specs and lead times

  • Work with contractors and workshop manager to catch layout issues early

Contractor Lead Development

  • Proactively call and email local contractors—GCs, remodelers, and kitchen designers—to introduce Bud’s Built, present our cabinet lines, and establish ongoing trade relationships

  • Build and maintain a contractor referral pipeline, following up consistently to stay top of mind for upcoming projects

  • Serve as a knowledgeable trade partner who can read architectural drawings and turn quotes around quickly

Customer Relationship Management

  • Follow up with past customers and warm leads to surface new project opportunities

  • For homeowners tackling their first remodel, serve as a patient guide who helps them feel confident in their choices

  • Many of our customers are Spanish-speaking families—the ability to serve them in the language they’re most comfortable with is a real asset

Marketing Support

  • Assist with social media content, showroom events, and outreach that keep Bud’s Built top of mind in the community

  • Help tell the Bud’s story in ways that connect our craftsmanship to our mission

What We’re Looking For

Required

  • 1+ year of sales or customer service experience (retail, home improvement, or any service environment)

  • Experience in cabinetry, kitchen/bath, or building materials sales

  • Comfortable with consultative selling: listening first, then recommending

  • Comfortable making cold calls and sending outreach emails to contractors

  • Organized enough to manage multiple customer projects at different stages

  • Motivated by Bud’s mission of creating jobs that rebuild lives

  • Available to work Saturdays (required for both full-time and part-time)

  • Commitment to Bud’s Warehouse / Belay Enterprises’ mission and values and a willingness to sign the organization’s statement of faith

Nice to Have

  • Fluent in Spanish and English, spoken and written—a big plus, as many of our customers are Spanish-speaking

  • Ability to read construction plans, floor plans, or architectural drawings

  • Familiarity with cabinet sizing or design software (2020 Design, SketchUp, etc.)

Compensation

Base: $41,600 annually (full-time). Part-time employees receive an hourly base wage.

Commission: Tiered marginal commission on monthly cabinet sales—3% on the first

$53,000/month; 4% on every dollar above $53,000/month.

Expected Earnings: Full-time employees can reasonably expect total annual compensation of

$60,000–$80,000, depending on monthly cabinet sales. Top performers may earn more as the

business grows.

Benefits: Health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and the opportunity to build something meaningful

from the ground floor.Bud’s Warehouse / Belay Enterprises Core Values
